Staff Support

Updated: Nov 13, 2020

For new members of our team we promise full support and guidance right from the start and throughout your career at BeCaredFor.

New employees firstly undergo introduction training, which means they complete the Care Certificate, including additional areas for example, Lone Worker. This is delivered by our in-house training team covering everything from the basic health and social care qualification – to specialist areas such as medication management, moving & handling, Dementia and Parkinson’s.

Following this is the Shadowing protocol, where you will shadow members of our home care team in the community to enable you to put your learning into practice and demonstrate that you are competent to work alone. If at this point you will be eased in to working alone with support from the team at all points, and we will watch you grow in confidence.

~ Care Certificate ~

We provide you with the materials necessary to help you understand and  meet the requirements of The Care Certificate. This can be completed before commencement of employment to keep things as efficient as possible for you or during first weeks with us.

Ongoing Support and Supervision

Your training and support does not stop once you have completed your Care Certificate. All staff members receive additional review meetings during their first few weeks with us and regular observation will be carried out to monitor you competence . You will also attend  Meetings with your supervisor and Appraisal Meetings with your Registered Branch Manager every 12 months.

We pride ourselves on being a local, specialist company which offers marketing leading support to its staff – you will receive constant input and support from your local care management team which includes 24/7 access to our local, on-call team.

Continuing Professional and Career Support

We offer and support everybody in our team the opportunity to progress to a Level 2 Health & Social Care Diploma after 6 months with the Company. There are also a host of other additional courses available including in specialist areas such as dementia and Parkinson’s, or even more advanced health & social care diplomas from level 3 up to level 5. All members of our team also receive refresher training
